About the Project:

Sherrard, Illinois  Despite an incredibly wet run of weather during construction, Golf Creations completed this new Nicklaus Design project on schedule. The site for the 6,600-yard, par–70 layout was a challenge to contractor and architect. Some of the topographical changes are dramatic, and 750,000 cubic yards of earth was moved to place the holes comfortably on the terrain.  “It took quite a bit of earthwork to make the course and residential elements work together,” Chris Rule of Nicklaus Design said. “It’s important to blend them properly, and this is where we’ve enjoyed working with Golf Creations. They know what they’re doing.”
