UW Madison Football

About the Project:

Madison, Wisconsin  The Madison practice football field consisted of us stripping sod, re-grade field to slope toward retaining wall, irrigation installation, new rootzone installation, laser grading, retaining wall construction, tree plantings, and sodding of the entire football field. The field had very unstable sub soils that didn’t allow for the turf to establish and made playing conditions very unsafe. We worked with the university to specify a new rootzone for the field to help establish deep root growth for the new turf. We also cleared out some trees and brought in fill to build up the grade on the east side of the field. This is where we installed a new retaining wall that allowed for about 10,000 square feet of addition area for the team to utilize for their practices.
